ME and MY WORK: genesis of a professional career, “Let oneself be involved emotionally.”

With this new editorial I want to thank the people who gave me words of appreciation about the blog ,from all over the world. Now this is an ideal second part of the Manifesto of Independent Revolution: a confession about my ideals and motivations that lead me in my life and professional goals.

I have already written in my language, Italian, an important article about that, and I’ll try again to retransmit the same emotions. An article that many people and friends appreciated for its touching inspiration e motivational thoughts.

I am not able to separate the work by what I really love. I always try to find human and creative experiences where the ‘man is always the protagonist, even when there is not.

I love the “wow effect” that disorients the viewer and slows the heart of thoughts, something that invites you to linger to observe. Seeking a spiritual side in what I create and live, that moment suspended and impalpable in which things happen.

When I heard these words moved me to tears .When I saw for the first time the movie by Darren Aronofsky, BLACK SWAN starring Natalie Portman, they reminded me about the great and unique teaching that gave me my “Master” when I started working in theater and opera. Anyone of my friens knows what were the first 10 years of my professional career, a hard apprenticeship, in a closed world and extremely sexist.

My first boss taught me one thing that has been central to my personal and professional growth: Perfection is not only in control. It ‘also let go. The only way to fully understand this work, the artistic and creative (but not only) is to be carried away, get emotionally involved. Making sure that the fears, uncertainties, have an influence in your feeling, and so admire those moments of perfection so that you receive only in a full emotional involvement.

Starting from that point in the past, when I started to let myself go, I realized that the only obstacle between us and the success we’re just ourselves. Since that time I have not had more obstacles and the road is open in front to me.

TENACITY and COURAGE has always been my magic words and feelings that have always characterized me. I always thought that a career is built on the sacrifices and no selection. I never chose to do a job for money or anything, but only because I considered it important for my professional growth. I think courage is something that comes from the strength you have inside, from inner conviction and love for life, never separated from the awareness and trust in their actions.

Then I realized that the INITIATIVE  is THE SOUL OF MY LIFE: I’ve always really wanted and created every opportunity of work. For example, when I worked for the movie Cloud Atlas, I wrote to the producer by facebook.

During my career experiences around the world I’ve seen many talents but who achieved success they had something more, not only technically.

Many young people write me with words of appreciation about my career and ask for advice, then I answser them: “We can be good technically, but the difference is your heart and inner motivations and thinking big and impossible goals”.

I am happy to be a good example to many people. Many friends call me the motivator.

Then I believe in a leader who focuses on the moral qualities. I believe Kindness is necessary quality that denotes a remarkable awareness and superiority. I believe in a leader that knows how to capture and optimize the potential of each, and that knows how to inspire people with enthusiasm and mutual trust.

So thanks to the DREAMERS beacause they try every day to create unknown languages, they imagine from nothing new goals, a bit ‘crazy and sometimes uncomfortable.

But without their imagination what will be our dreams? I’m a Dreamer and I’m so proud of that.
